"As part of the historic preservation efforts of the upcoming Harvard Law School project, two Victorian houses and an associated carriage house will be relocated this Friday, June 22nd at 6pm until the morning of Monday, June 25th from a parcel on Massachusetts Avenue south of Everett Street to the parcel at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Mellen Street. While the project will result in many positive changes that have been supported and approved by a number of regulatory boards and city agencies, we recognize that there will be inconvenience during the move. Please expect major traffic delays in Harvard Square throughout the weekend."
Trust me, that is an understatement.
At one point during the weekend, all three structures will be on Mass Ave at the same time. Trolley lines, traffic signals, light poles and perhaps even a tree will come down during this effort.
