Thesis!

One thing I can say I've learned while at UT is how to push elevator buttons with my elbows.....

So I got a thesis idea! I'm going to write about contemporary problems the Catholic Church is facing and then use public relations techniques to address some of them. Does anyone have any burning issues (OK or just questions/regular issues) with the Church or any cool solutions (no I'm not asking you to write my thesis for me!)?

Also, I'm thinking about graduating a year early (next spring) with just a plan ii degree. What's plan ii you say? That's part of my decision, I'm not sure if it's a great idea to graduate with a degree that no one's heard of. At the same time, everyone tells me that all that really matters is that you get an undergraduate degree. Additionally, as a writer, it's more your clips than your degree that gets the job. But who knows, there is a FEMA director position open and I heard yesterday that there will be an opening on the Vatican's publc relations team soon...

So I just interviewed the coolest professor at UT. OK, well one of them. This guy has invented the technology for electroni paper. UT has the patent and has sold it to a company in CA that is creating prototypes as I type. In business terms, his discovery is "Disruptive" which means it will change the basics of our very way of life. He imagines eletronic wallpapers that can be converted into movie screens at the push of a button, moving/changeable wallpaper, and a single 100-page book for everyone that will be the only book a person needs. Very cool.
