- Forest park: one of the largest urban forests with over 70 miles/110 km of recretional trails, including 30 mile Wildwood trail.
- Washington Park - features multiple trails and has access to archery range, tennis courts, hoyt arboretum, Internatinal Rose Test Garden, Japanese garden, Orezon Zoo, memorials, museum.
- Multnomah falls: just a 30-minute drive from Portland.
