*If choosing between Chinese and Japanese gardens, I'd recommend Lan Su (Chinese) one. However, downtown Portland/Pearl district has been getting less and less nicer with all the homeless/tents..

4. Search for murals
Apart from claassic Keep Portland Weird |350 West Burnside St, there is more to see. Alberta St, Division st, and mississippi st will be good places to start looking.

6. Nearby hikes

• Forest park: one of the largest urban forests with over 70 miles/110 km of recretional trails, including 30 mile Wildwood trail.
• Washington Park - features multiple trails and has access to archery range, tennis courts, hoyt arboretum, Internatinal Rose Test Garden, Japanese garden, Orezon Zoo, memorials, museum.
• Multnomah falls: just a 30-minute drive from Portland.
