It's Thanksgiving!

Well, my brother is in town now from VA and came over this afternoon for a little visit before being called by my mom to stay over there for a night. We went to dinner at Famous Dave's(yum yum ribs!) and then, got a few last minute Thanksgiving items because guess who is making the Thanksgiving meal again.....US! :) Hey, I don't mind, I like brining the turkey and stuff. :) It's very cool!

On the menu for my family is:

AB's Whole Roasted Turkey
Mashed Potatoes(not Yukon Gold this time) and Turkey Gravy(from the jar)
Sage Stuffing(from a box)
Corn Casserole (from Paula Deen, it's yummy!)
My mom's risotto
either egg rolls or korean chicken wings
Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Cream and Country Apple Pie(from Baker's Square)

Oh, I also plan on making those Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes again...cause apparently my mom liked the one piece we gave her that was leftover and she doesn't really go for pumpkin pie.

I think that the sicky monster is slowly going away. I've had some coughing, but no real congestion, BUT the sicky monster is not gone quite yet. Emily was drooling a ton over me not to mention spitting up a ton earlier tonight. But, she seems to be doing okay too....she was rather coughy earlier today.

My brother says Jason may have some sinus infection since he made Jason blow his nose and green snot came out(yes, I know TMI)...Emily's snotties were clear, so all is good. :) oldcrow is pretty much almost over his cold....and then I am going through the house with some disinfectant wipes and wiping down all the doorknobs and faucets and other things. :) Sicky Monster will not visit us again!

Oh, also, we recently got Jason some gummi bear vitamins....cause he don't like the regular vitamins and he don't like the chewable ones. So, he's eaten his gummi bear vitamins for the past three days, so YAY. Maybe that will help with staving off any other sicky monsters that may want to grab him.

Well, gotta go...Emily's crying....HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone! :)
