Q: What's worse than being sick and not being able to do any work?
A: Being sick and not being able to do work, AND burning your left thumb.
I wonder if it's the muddled haze the sickness has got me in or it's just that I'm not very bright. In the process of making myself green bean soup (I seem to have a perchant for warm sweet soupy Asian desserts these days) I got sago stuck on the ladle. And for some strange reason, I decided to use my fingers to remove them. Yes, my fingers on the sago that just emerged from the boiling green bean soup. If sago wasn't so annoyingly sticky, I might have gotten it off before I burnt myself. But no, it clung on to my poor thumb. Hence, the end result of having a burnt left thumb. Poor burnt left thumb, I am sorry that as your owner I have failed miserbly in protecting you from the dangerous outside world.
Gah, I blame it on the sickness. It's got nothing to do with me. Really.
