So, people... what is/are your fandoms and why?

It's been so long since I attached to anything. I'm curious to hear about what you're watching/reading/etc. and what about it captures your attention and/or imagination.

I've been in a number of things since we knew each other as "the FBI's most Unwanted." (I think I still have a copy of that story somewhere.)

In 2000, my daughter started watching anime - Japanese animated series that are nothing like American cartoons. I started watching with her and found myself sucked into the fantasy worlds that manage to keep a realistic outlook on the world these characters inhabit. I've followed a number of series; Gundam Wing, Rurouni Kenshin, FAKE, and Shounen Onmyoji.

Since 2005 I've been interested in "Supernatural." I think I first started watching it because it had attracted a number of crew from "the X-Files." It's the story of two brothers - first searching for their father, then dealing with his death, at the same time traveling the highways and byways of America battling the forces of evil in the forms of ghosts, werewolves, shapeshifters and vampires.

I love a good ghost story and for the last few years it's been a great series. This year, the final year, though, the creator is fighting the Apocalypse and it's not as well done as the other years.

I've been writing fanfic for it.

Currently I'm watching a lot of cable shows - Burn Notice, the Closer, Leverage and recently White Collar. There's only a couple of network shows I'm following - the Mentalist and Castle.

I'm reading a new series called Margaret Alt - "Magical Mysteries." In an suburban curio shop, British Wiccan Felicity and her assistant Maggie find themselves solving murders and exploring spiritual alternatives. Like the Cosby Show, it's a lot of fun and if you're not careful you just might learn something. :)
