Trigedasleng Derivational Affixes
Awhile back I talked about derivational affixes for my D&D-elven conlang, and how they could be used to expand a conlang's vocabulary. Today I wrote up a summary of the affixes I've found in David Peterson's Trigedasleng conlang, with notes on how they're used and which English words they're descended from.
This is all my own work, inferred from the vocabulary itself, so there may be errors. I wish DJP would talk about grammar more.

- -on: noun suffix, indicates a singular instance of the root word (e.g. tofon, "tough one"), descended from "one". Becomes -yon when attached to a word ending in a vowel (Skayon, "Sky person")
- -a: agent noun suffix, attached to verb root to indicate a person who does the verb (fisa, "healer"). Descended from "-er".
- -plei: noun suffix indicating an activity or practice (hedplei, "command, rule"). Seems to generally indicate an abstract or broad instance of the root, rather than a specific instance. A specific ruling/order/command would be hedon, while hedplei refers to rulership in general. Descended from "play".
- -en: attached to a verb to create an adjective indicating the process or action of the verb (spichen, "lying"). Descended from "-ing". Unlike its English ancestor, it's (mostly) not used for nouns as well.
- -nes: nouns a verb, indicating the outcome or result of the verb action (hodnes, "love"). Can also be attached to a noun or adjective to indicate having the quality of the root word (feisnes, "likeness, portrait"). Descended from "-ness"
- -fou: adjective ending, having the quality of the root word. Only one canon example so far (sisfou, "helpful"). Seems to correspond to and be descended from "-ful".
- o-: the only prefix, indicates many or plural of the root noun (otaim, "always"). Can also be a suffix (yo, "you-all"). Descended from "all".

- siyon: n. ocean, sea; from the "sea" part of sishou
- bejayon: n. beggar; from beja and beja daun
- hona: n. hunter; from hon op
- jaka: n. thief; from jak op
- shila: n. protector, defender; from shil op
- fisplei: n. the craft or practice of healing; from fisa and fis op
- getplei: n. knowledge, lore; from get in, get klin―and also get daun, because ignorance is bliss ^_^
- kofplei: n. trading, commerce; from kof op, kofon, etc.
- bliden: adj. bleeding; from blid au
- dreinen: adj. drinking; from drein daun
- hosen: adj. bustling, busy; from hos op, hos raun, and hos of
- cheknes: n. appearance; from chek au
- chilnes: n. composure, aplomb; from chil au and chil daun
- meiznes: n. beauty; from meizen
- bashfou: adj. sore; from bash op. Ooooh, I like that one.

- kikfou: adj. full of life, spunky; from kick raun, kik thru, etc
