FALLEN
He woke up early; dawn sunlight came through the thin tent fabric and didn’t let him sleep more. First thing he saw when he opened his eyes was Jack’s beautiful face, still sleeping, that happy smile of his.
Ennis loved staring at him without being noticed, watching his movements while he rode the horse, herded the sheep, arranged the beans, told stories of his childhood. He could read his gestures.
Ennis felt happier than ever by Jack, on that mountain.
“Could this be love? Yes, this must be love. I don’t know how, but I have fallen for you."
