I'm an idiot

So last night was our bi-weekly anime night.  Of course I got there and the guys decided to have a Super Smash Brothers tournament first.  It was fun.  We played for a couple of hours.  After that, we went to watch some Gun X Sword.  I was feeling pretty tired, so I was going to leave after the second episode.  I am still trying to get over the sickies after all, and needed some rest.  As I was getting ready to leave, Shawn brought out his Nintendo DS with this really fun puzzle game.  Of course my stubbornness, my competitiveness, and my OCD combined forces to ensure that I would not leave until I had beaten every puzzle he'd unlocked so far.  I succeeded (even figured out one that he hadn't been able to get... Score).

Once I was done with the game, I went to leave.  Ernie was leaving at the same time.  We started talking on the way out to our cars and ended up in a very lengthy conversation for about an hour and a half where I was basically venting about a lot of crap that's been kind of weighing on me.  He was very kind to listen to it all and offered some helpful and supportive advice.  Still, with all of that talking, I didn't end up leaving Shawn's house until 5:00 this morning and my voice is now completely gone.

What's more, it seems like what was mostly a sore throat, runny nose, and post-nasal drip has now moved to some sort of laryngitis (sp?), and a deep chest cough.  I really should have come home closer to midnight.  What was supposed to be a weekend of rest, relaxation, and recovery has not gotten off to the best start.

anime night, sick
