I'd have to ask Sar if she would be okay with that! xD Idk, I can specify a pairing but I think the author is still free to do what they want? I didn't see anything about DNWs in the rules, at least. I just feel like I should approach it with zero expectations and just try to do an art piece I can be happy with independently. But then it kind of makes no sense to do the challenge xD
I understand, totally up to you :) I would want to know my artist's DNWs, though, because I'd be paranoid that I'm doing something they don't like and are afraid to tell me, you know? It's your art and you should be getting something that you like, and I think getting that and letting the author feel open about the fic is doable! :D
Last year my author kind of ignored every preference I stated (under the 'it's your fic and I don't want to tell you what to write' caveat) so I have no ~trust in communication. I still like the concept of the challenge though and I DID sign up xD AND YOU SHOULD TOTALLY CLAIM SOMETHING YES YOU SHOULD /lol too much angst about fandom
Boo. :/ That was the right thing to say but I think the author should also realize that she should take what you want into account, provided it's not a squick/something she can't write at all. I fully plan on outlining the fic with whoever I choose and get the okay before I do anything.

of course you don't have to claim xD THE FANDOM POLICE WILL COME AFTER YOU! I think at least a third of the authors doesn't end up claiming each round.

idk, I've seen a good bunch of gen-ish fanart on tumblr so far but have no clue about the general structure of this bb fandom (except that derek/stiles is dominant... ugh like inception all over again)! But I'd I trust the fanartist to come up with cool things xD
You've seen some? *wibbles* I've never seen a fandom so dominated by one ship before, and TW is so shippable for everyone! I've been exploring fic and it's all Derek/Stiles. I'm a gengirl at heart and that's how I like to ease myself in.
