The end of a search?
I got two phone calls yesterday for interviews. The first one woke me up, though. That call was from Manpower, a staffing firm (read: temp agency) and I'm supposed to go down there on Tuesday morning. She was saying I'd prolly have to come back to complete testing since I have to be at work by noon. I wasn't too excited about that one.
The 2nd call was from Westec Security. I go to interview down there tomorrow morning at 9am, which means I want to leave by 8am, which means I need to get up before 7am. It won't take me a full hour to get there, but its nice to have a bit of leeway when dealing w/ morning traffic esp. since I haven't done that for awhile. Its in W. Des Moines right off of I-80. I guess this will be fairly similar to driving from my mom's house to Metro in Elkhorn.
Even though it will be a long drive, I hope I get this job. It pays $13/hr and sounds very similar to what I was doing at ADT. This particular office just opened up, so getting in on the "ground floor" should be fairly advantageous when it comes to scheduling. I'm thinking that I'll take morning classes (ew) and try to work a swing shift. Since I can only take 6 hours, I still plan on working full-time into next semester.
I've been promoted at H.wood. I'll go in Tuesday night so Amanda can train me on closing. Woo-Hoo more money!
Things might actually go well for me this month!
I have a zit right below the arch of my right eyebrow and it hurts and looks bad on my scarry-pale face. I hope I can successfully cover it tomorrow.
