Its a bit strange to come back to Omaha and not have everything planned in advance. Mom usually bugs me about not spending time at the house while I'm in town, but she asked me multiple times what I was doing on Saturday, even though I didn't really get that figured out till around 5pm. I picked up Micah and we went to the Old Market for ice cream. We were initally going to get Ted and Wally's, but they put a Maggie Moo's in just caddy-corner from there. We talked about random people from HS we may have heard about or actually spoke to. She made it an early night, so I was home by 11pm. I was still up till 4 talking to Sarah over IM; more of the convo I had w/ Mike, Lakeshia, and Kristy.
I purposely left my shampoo and conditioner at my apt. I'm glad I did. I like the Bed Head stuff my mom has right now. It smells like bubblegum ice cream, plus I love the way it makes my hair feel.
Nebraska Furniture Mart is having a sale for 30 mos interest free financing, so I went to look at a new laptop. I had a credit acct. there from when I bought my bed, so I just figured I'd increase my credit line, then just make payments. They were out of the laptop that I wanted and the guy almost had me talked into one w/ less HD space (100GB vs. 60GB) but somehow had a smaller screen and was more expensive. I had my doubts, especialy since I don't know for sure that I have an interview for the 911 job yet. I figured I would at least see if they would increase my credit line, only to find out that it had gone inactive since I haven't used the card since 2003. They would basically have to start from scratch, so I said forget it and walked away w/out a laptop.
Mom was fixing dinner for us when I got back. We were going to wait for Marty to pick up Kaleb, then she and I were going to get ice cream. Marty got held up at work, thus was late picking up Kaleb. I still had plans w/ Melissa to go to Moe and Curly's, so we skipped ice cream.
Nancy had been at the bar for quite awhile already when Melissa and I got there. Adam happened to get on AIM before I left and I told him I was in town. He made an apperance at the bar. I felt kinda bad since more people showed up and neither of us had any idea what they were talking about. Adam didn't stay long, though. I guess his 18 yr old girlfriend wasn't feeling well. People started leaving, so it was back down to Nancy, Melissa, and I. One of the regulars was hitting on Nancy, so he came and sat w/ us for a bit before convincing Nancy to do body shots. Since Melissa and I were both a bit tipsy, our conversation floated towards past and present relationships (and everythign that implies). At one point I was sitting by myself as Melissa went to the bathroom and Nancy went up to sing. The guy sat down next to me and said he thought I was "the quiet one." I hope anyone reading this knows that I am most certainly the opposite of quiet. Melissa and I start teasing Nancy for going to get laid by this dude. I went over to her place and we made mac and cheese talking about random things. I finally left around 4. So yeah, the first thing I do when I get back to mom's is log on the computer to write about this. I'm a loser, and now I'm going to bed.
