a sense of humor
Everybody knows that no matter how hard I try, I really am a dork at heart. So in preparation for starting a new facebook group entitled "Focus Group" (yes, it will be for Ford Focus owners and that alone makes me a dumbass, but I also like reference to a small random sampling of people in order to complete a study.) I was looking for a picture to add to the group profile (since I really hate groups w/ a big question mark). I came upon this page and laughed my ass off. For those of you who don't know, that is the kind of car I drive. I swear its more attractive from a side view.
And now for an anecdotal type of story showing that I in fact know that my car can easily be percieved as being ugly. The last time I was visiting Ben, we were driving somewhere after dark in a part of town with only a few streetlights. I was driving my car and pulled up behind a vehicle stopping at a stopsign. I saw only the tiny taillights and started to say "Look at that fuckin' ugly Azte... Oh, that's my car." Ben just looked at me and shook his head.
