One of the maintenance guys woke me up at 10:45 this morning (shuddup, I hate mornings)to change the air filter in my room. He scared the crap out of me. Very glad I cleaned my room up last week.
I had to work for Rhodes three days so far this week. Not that working there is nearly as bad as working at Panera, but I haven't had a non-work day since last Thursday. It really screws up my nap schedule ;) Greg (the other driver) went OOT last weekend and left me a VM asking me to work on Monday for him, so I left him a VM asking him to work on Tuesday for me, but he never called me back. I would have thouroughly enjoyed not working on Tuesday given my crazy-ass day on Monday.
My advisor is the shit! She's so easy to talk to and I don't feel like she's just putting up with me, unlike the advisor for Architecture. I went to get stuff from her so I can register for classes for fall.
After talking to her, I decided I may pick up a minor. I don't feel like taking a science class and an advanced math class and a bunch of engineering classes all in the same semester. I don't like writing papers, but I can b.s. my way through them easily enough and get decent grades, so I'm taking another english class in the fall. Not that you could tell from my LJ entries that I can pull off a "B" paper w/o trying very hard. The 201 class I'm registered for is supposed to introduce more plays, poetry, and other literature and hopefully get people reading for enjoyment. I did read a bunch as a kid and I miss that.
I'm taking Marriage and the Family as an online course through Metro during the summer. Since my soc classes thus far have (or will) come from Metro, I will have to check if those credits will count towards a minor. If not, I may go for an english or women's studies minor. We'll see how fall goes.
After looking at my degree audit, I should have junior classification at the end of fall '05. Not that it makes a difference since I'll still have a million Engineering credits to earn. I'll be a super-super-super senior when I finally graduate (give or take a "super").
I'm actually looking forward to fall semester. I don't have a class before 10am ever. My Tuesdays and Thursdays don't start till 11am. I hate mornings, so this is very agreeable to my unstable sleep schedule. Plus I would hate to try getting to an 8am from off-campus when I either have to catch the bus, or drive to campus and attempt to find a parking spot.
Lakeshia and I went to an APO thing tonight. A comedy troupe of students had a show at the M-shop tonight. Admission was a dollar. They were amusing, but I couldn't quite hear everything being said since we were sitting off to the side and the people had their backs to us half the time. I still had fun with that. But we had to leave early to get to the ice arena in time for our broomball game. Broomball is like hockey, only without skates and sticks that don't look like 'L's but sticks with small plastic fan-shaped doodads on the end. Oh and its played with an orange ball instead of a puck. We did get hockey helmets, so I didn't have to worry about falling face-first on the ice an knocking out all my teeth. I only got to play for maybe 5-7 min, but it was fun. There was a big group of us to rotate in, so none of us played very long, especially since games are only about 30 min. And I didn't fall. The ice had more traction from skate grooves, unlike the frozen puddles on the sidewalk in front of my dorm.
Time for more homework.
