Hard Times Mean Poor Rhymes

I'm pretty sure that if I'm forced to look at another Anova chart for another goddamn factorial design, I will goddamn kill something. Or somebody. For instance, my professor (who I've long since nicknamed El Diablo Statistico) for making me do it so quickly ( Read more... )

So, Gabranth, Drace. How are you handling Larsa's hitting puberty a bit early?

Same question, Vayne.

(Yeah, that anonymous person be me. Ignore it. :P)

Excellent questions. Mwahahaha!

Gabranth's Short Answer:

Hysterical denial.

Drace's (Unsolicited but Strongly Worded Nonetheless) Answer:

And by passing the grief onto all of Lord Larsa's other and far more responsible guardians.

Vayne's Very Weary Answer:

And a loving but very bewildered brother that wonders why on earth all his lessons about the inadvisability of uniting with crazed desert women haven't managed to penetrate his younger brother's mind. Indeed, I could have understood if he had fallen in love with that harpy Ashelia-- mad though she is, at least she comes from some breeding. But to fall in with some sand peasant who could not be more bourgeoisie if she made a habit of selling herself in the market place... really, the thought of her interbreeding into our line can hardly be borne.

As it is, Larsa and I will likely have many issues to discuss when he comes back to our ancient home in Archadia. Many, many issues-- including his apparent attempt to secure the throne of our land by taking a politically connected ( ... )

Vayne: That's what all teenagers do. They get over it... eventually. (Well, maybe not in all cases, which explains the insurgencies. :P)

Drace: You poor dear. (passes some cookies)

No response for Gabranth. :P

Vayne's Answer:

::sigh:: I know better than to hope this was a temporary phase. After all, as my older brother's soon learned, such was certainly not the case in my youth. ::smirk::

Vayne's Answer:

My lady, neither you nor anyone else still left on this earth with my dear father's untimely death has the wherewithal to pry those details from me.

...Unless, of course, you mean to imply that you would gladly welcome your demise...

Do feel free to try, sir. I've had several attempts on my life to date, and I'm still in one piece. :P

Vayne's Answer:

Pray, do not tempt me. My old hound Gabranth, after all, still has teeth.

Gabranth.

Heheheheheeeee.

Oh, this is so Gabranth. I can even picture the dark, dark look he would give along with the answer. Talk to the gauntlet cos the helm don't wanna listen.

Gabranth's Answer:

Actually, I rather feel as though that motto would be better suited to my dear Drace.

Drace's Reply:

Oh, do shut your filthy foreign trap up.

Sand peasant?!?!? I can sooo hear Vayne saying that. :p

I'm surprised Gabby didn't just go silent and then glower, turn, and walk away. Though, Drace needs to whip that boy into doing his job. ;)

Drace's Answer:

Believe me, I have tried. With actual whips, in some cases. But though Judge Gabrnath may be stout of heart when it comes to battle, nothing but nothing could make him approach certain topics where young Lord Larsa is concerned!

Drace, have you ever thought of fishing an appropriately embarrassing story out of Gabranth about things he would rather forget from his early teenage years? You know, something that might be educational for Larsa. Of course, after you pass the story onto Larsa (but only in limited form), he'll probably feel compelled to go ask Gabranth for the rest of the details... And that might force the matter of dear ol' Gabby directly dealing with a certain young lord hitting puberty. Perhaps?

Drace's Answer:

To be perfectly frank, I am not sure if I feel comfortable with the notion of letting Larsa learn how to be a man from a foreigner whose idea of wooing a woman was to follow her incessantly about, attempting to best her at various tasks in order to show his competence as a spouse as would occur "in the old country."

...But then, with Larsa's other model of masculinity being a deranged plutocrat of a prince who woos women with freakish pheasants, I'm sure my young charge could do far worse. I shall honestly have to give that thought some consideration hre.

True. Those men from Landis do seem to have problematically archaic customs... Speak of such, what was the most annoying thing that Gabranth ever did in his attempts to woo you?
