Would-Be Cool Animation
Ok, you know that part in Morrissey's video for The Last of the Famous International Playboys where the kid is in his room dancing? I extracted that clip from a DVD today to make an animated gif for an LJ icon. When I first imported it into Image Ready it was 150 frames and like 2 MB in size. After much cropping and deleting of frames, I got it down to *9* frames--and with looping, it still looked very cool. I also shrunk it to 80 X 80 which was as small as I could make it and still see what the hell it was. After all that it was STILL too big in size to use as an LJ icon. An Irish curse on LJ for their outrageous 40K icon size limit! Go gcreime an diabhal thú.
