Holy fuck I love that movie! My husband and I saw it in the theater when it came out, and we were laughing so hard we were crying... then I brought my mom to see it - yep, my ultra Catholic mom - and she and I laughed so hard we were having coughing fits (smokers, LOL). I just watched it again tonight and goddamn... My brother took his wet blanket ex girlfriend to see it, of course she didn't think it was funny. I was like Jesus tittyfucking Christ! They make fun of E V E R Y O N E in that movie: Americans, terrorists, peaceniks, war mongers - everyone! (especially actors LMAO) And the message of the movie is good too, they're pretty much saying that yeah, America goes off half cocked and we make mistakes: "We're dicks, we're reckless arrogant dicks"... sometimes we go too far but we do good things too. This girlfriend has classic American self hatred, oh it's so trendy to hate America blah blah blah... Classic American guilt. I don't buy into that. I'm not one of those "Love it or leave it, burn my flag and I'll burn your ass" types but I think we're a good country, dammit! She's one of those embarrassed to be American types. Fuck that shit. I don't know if I'm "proud" to be American - I mean, I didn't do anything, I didn't make myself be born here, I just happened to be... but I'm not ashamed to be American either by any means. Anyway, back to the point, Team America is a fucking hilarious flick :)
