Hey Kukla (and everyone else!),
I have been ridiculously busy lately - and thus, yeah, doing most of my social media-ing on Facebook. It's just faster. But I'm not abandoning LJ.
It's been a little over a month since my surgery, and I feel like I'm completely recovered. The definitive word on that comes from my surgeon at the followup appointment I have scheduled for tomorrow morning.
I'm currently undergoing physical therapy for a circulatory issue caused by the cysts - which means my legs are covered in 1/2" foam padding and wrapped in bandages from toes to knees, about 22 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'm definitely seeing improvement, but I've got a couple more weeks to go before I can switch from 'bandages all day' to 'bandages at night, support hose during the day'. There's also a weird form of light surface massage I've been taught to do every day. So that's my current health covered.
Dave's been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and is now on a bipap machine. He doesn't have too much trouble sleeping with it, but it's only been a week - he's a little concerned that we're not seeing a change in his sleepiness level during the day; I think we need to give it more time.
Upcoming stuff - we will both definitely be at Archon! I plan to bring a load of snacks to share. Apple Pie (well, that's a beverage not a snack, but you know), two pounds of dried chili mango that I just bought online, a pound of Atomic Fireball candies, and some form of homemade confection - oreo bonbons, or chocolate chip & bacon cookies, or both if I have the energy. I thought about making some kind of meat buns/hand pies/pasties, to add some protien, but I just don't think I'm prepared for that much work.
We've got all-weekend passes, I've got extra batteries for my digital camera, and we're looking foward to the party!
