Another day, another year older
It has to be said birthdays really are just another day, the society we live in expects people to buy presents and cards to give to the person on their birthday. But is this all really necessary, surely someone saying happy birthday is enough, or maybe letting it just pass unnoticed might be another good idea.
But no, we get cards and presents, and peoples good wishes. Perhaps people don't want to tbe reminded they are getting older, maybe some don't want to even think about it.
Or...
Perhaps it is just me after all. I never expected that turning 29 would hit me with such force. 29!!!!!!!! Jeez, the last year of my twenties is upon me. Turning 30 has never really bothered me, and sitting here now it does not faze me, but being 29 today - no i don't like it!
Ok enough of my rambling rubbish, I may as well enjoy the day, and thanks go to those who have already wished me a happy birthday, thanks it is nice that you even thought about it.
So to celebrate my birthday in style, being it is so close to Christmas, I am off to work, it is a Wednesday... but maybe a drink or two can be had at the weekend :)
