Thought I should finally reply to this since I posted it and you were so kind to send me a question :)

So -

(1) It probably was, but it was a whole lot better before me too. I've heard fabled stories from staff of yore about a library where happy circ workers frolicked in the stacks and attitudes were considerably more democratic. But alas, those may be merely myths.

(2) One sibling, a younger brother (he's 19.) We're very different - he's the introvert to my extrovert, he's rather complacent to my driven ambition, he opted to go to our public district high school while I went on to be a Catholic schoolgirl. He tried to make it in the Marine Corps after he graduated from high school, but recurring medical problems kept frustrating him. He's back at home and is probably going to work for awhile until he figures out if he wants to go to school - yeah, we're very different people. He's really contradictory in a strange way - he's into stuff like firearms and Airsoft guns (well, we were both raised around guns, but he took to them) but he loves watching stuff like Animal Planet b/c he wants badly to have a dog.
