all around the world it's la la la la la
So today is cold, and we're out of milk, and Tinkerbell is sleeping tons. I don't want to wake her up just so we can all go to the store...
Oh well, at least our milk is free! I'm thankful for that small blessing.
So this afternoon while the kids were napping, I decided I really needed to do something to my hair.
So I put in some highlights - they are in that red/orange stage, because I want to go over them with red, and I didn't want the difference between my dark and my light hair to be that striking...
Anyhow, I personally like the way it looks right now - kind of like flames, because I made it graduated - my hairline/part is blonde, and it turns to gold, then orange, then red on through to my brown/almost black at the ends/bottom. But I know that my husband will NOT like it this way (I'm pretty sure he'll like my finished product).
I had been holding on to this hair coloring stuff since October - every time I looked under the bathroom sink, I wanted to use it... I kept holding off, since Matt prefers my natural hair color...
I couldn't help it! My free spirit just can't live inside a plain old brown noggin!
I'll post some photos as soon as they upload. And I'll probably take some later when the hair is dry, just for fun.
And later tonight or tomorrow I'll pick up the red/brown color I want to lay over everything, and I'll have it finished up by Sunday. I just need to find my coupon (somewhere I stashed a coupon that is half off a Herbal Essences dye that I got for filling out some marketing survey thingy). I always put things somewhere so I "remember" where they are, and inevitably, I forget where that somewhere is.

Oh, and Peter Pan was astounded when I went and got him up from his nap - he had to pat my head to make sure it was still my hair!
