STEP ONE
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whateveryou're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your listof 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simpleand fandom-related to medium to really big. The important thing is,make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If youwish for real life things, make sure you include some sort of contactinfo in your post, whether it's your address or just your email addresswhere Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ.
STEP TWO
Surfaround your friends list to see who has posted their list. If you see awish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone'swish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and ifyou have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate youwon't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebredBasset Hound for free--do it.
You don't have spend money onthese wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out,it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--tospread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
Thereare no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached.Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. Andyou'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. Matt's leather jacket back. Or possibly a new one. Or a used one.
2. To have a diagnosis that is fixable on what's wrong with my body.Nobody can give me that for the holidays. Let's wish big - an unlocked Treo 680.
3. Stuff for me to get creative with - colored papers, yarn, fabric.
3. That double stroller I saw at Babies R Us - red and black, lightweight, steers like a dream... It would be so nice to be able to take the kids out somewhere without killing my back getting the humongous stroller we have out of the trunk.
4. Time to finish my comic website layout. Right now I have a preview image up, but with the way these kids sleep, I'll never have enough time to finish it. And without a website, there's not much you can do with a web comic.
5. Any of Janet Arnold's historical fashion books, or patterns for medieval, Elizabethan, Regency, Victorian things - I wish that I had more time to sew, because my wardrobe would have a lot of those things in it (yes, I'd wear a Regency corset every day if I could get away with it!)
7. More clothing for Tinkerbell - she lives in jammies and onesies, because she outgrew all the cute stuff people gave us when she was born. She needs long sleeves, blouses, dresses, and tights. More onesies would be good, since she only has about 7 (which sounds like a lot until you factor in accidents, messy eating, and barf.)
8. Things for bellydance. Pretty things, flowy things, sparkly things, jingly things.
9. Playstation 2 and Yourself!Fitness. Final Fantasy games might be nice too. (If I was dreaming, I'd say I wanted a Wii).
10. New cycling shorts(capri length, and tight, not flared) and a fun jersey. Arm warmers and legwarmers, since it's cold out now. A new helmet, and children's bike trailer (I hope all that counts as one gift - put the helmet and clothes inside the trailer, and leave it under my tree, Mister Santa Claus!

And just for fun, a list of free things I'd like:
1. Livejournal icons - whatever you think fits *me*
2. Art - drawings, photographs, digital art, pixel art, etc. I'm particularly vain and enjoy flattering images of myself.
3. Book reccommendations - I'm always looking for new things to read.
4. Fun cute websites that I can visit with Pan - he likes sesamestreet.com, and gets a kick out of dressing up my charachter on gaiaonline.com, so things like that.
5. Fun games and programs for my Palm
