Toy Story 3!!!
Move outta the way kids, I've been waiting 11 years to see Toy Story 3!!!
Ok, so I won't spoil too much about the movie...but...HOLY CRAP!!! This movie is....AWESOME!!! And I mean that, in every sense of the word!!! This by far, I think is Pixar's best movie! And I'm not just saying that, I really mean that! And this is coming from a young adult born in 89....the 90s were my childhood, TOY STORY WAS A BIG PART OF MY CHILDHOOD!!! I loved the first, it was awesome! Toy Story 2!!! Great movie, a great sequel, and even surpassed the first in a great classic (that's not an easy thing to do)....now Toy Story 3???
Well, the hit classic Toy Story was out shined by its successor-Toy Story 2-which that in turn became a loved classic...which was WITH OUT A DOUBT MANAGED TO BE OUT SHINED IT'S FOLLOWING SUCCESSOR, TOY STORY 3!!!
I'm not kidding folks, Toy Story 3 is THAT GOOD! In my honest opinion, it managed to do, what few sequels, and even few trilogies have ever been known to do....beat their predecessors!!!!
DID I MENTION IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME?! 8D
There are a lot of shout outs and call backs to the first two movies, so if you haven't seen this movie yet, I highly recommend seeing Toy Story and Toy Story 2 before going to see the third, you'll catch A LOT more of the shout outs and call backs that way.
Anyways, onto my review.
I have to say, bravo Pixar...bravo!
This movie had everything about the first two movies, that we loved, wrapped up in nostalgic ol' Pixar/Disney family fun goodness!
I actually teared up quite a bit in this movie, I practically bawled on some parts!!! I can't believe that, I don't remember the last time I nearly cried in a Pixar/Disney film!!! (ok that's a lie....both the movies "Up" and "Princess and the Frog" got me teary eyed at certain parts).
But I actually saw some grown men tearing up too! DANG PIXAR!!! FABULOUS JOB!!!
Also....I can't remember the time I laughed so hard at a movie. I mean yeah, recent films by Pixar and Disney I loved and had parts that made me lose my oxygen supply....but honestly, the last time I recall laughing THIS HARD at a movie....A LOT, not just "certain" parts, bits or jokes, but practically half or all of the movie, (minus the serious, heartwarming, tear-jerking, breath-holding, and even somewhat scary....told ya, Toy Story 3 has it all!!!!) was probably either....Shrek, Ice Age, Elf or Emperor's New Groove. I laughed so freaking much!
If you don't want to see anything that might spoil you on a few bit fun things-then just don't read the italizied below.
Anything Barbie and Ken did...any scene they were in at all....HILARIOUS!!!
Anything Spanish Buzz did....FREAKING GUT-BUSTING HILARIOUS!!!
When "Chuckles the Clown" was introduced. (Don't ask, you'll see, trust me, for some reason you just can't help but laugh)
Hamm and Potato Head, as usual, get some great lines! XD
Mr. PricklePants wants to "stay in character!!!" (snicker)....(you'll see)
The entire opening playtime 4 minute sequence was both awesome...AND HILARIOUS!!!
Bonnie's toys in general made me giggle a lot! Not to mention when she herself was playing with them.(you have to see the movie to know who Bonnie is)...doubles as also some really adorable, heartwarming, cute-fluff scenes.
MR. TORTILLA HEAD!!!! :D (don't ask...just go see the movie.) Also....MR. CUCUMBER HEAD!!! :D (or was it Mr. Zucchini Head???)
Awkward moments between Jessie and Buzz always makes for great humor! XD
The ending with its "Where are they now?" bits....also freaking hilarious!!!
As stated...this movie had some serious tear-jerker moments, and was kinda dark for a Toy Story movie....I mean the others had bits that kids and adults would enjoy...and kids will definitely love this 3rd movie....but Toy Story 3 by far is the most serious...and it makes sense if you ask me.
Pixar were geniuses....granted yes we had to wait over a decade for this movie to come out...but the plot grew up with us! Most of us who grew up loving Toy Story in our childhood, are either going off to college right now-like Andy in the movie, already in college, graduating college, becoming parents now ourselves...or you are the parents who took your children to see the first two, and now they are growing up and doing any of the things I just listed above. Maybe that's why a lot of the heartwarming or tear-jerker scenes really hit home with some of us. Because they hit just right in that perfect soft or sensative spot. GENIUS PIXAR!!! GENIUS!!!!
I don't want to spoil it, but I have to say, the climax of the movie is indeed really intense. I won't say what it is...you just have to see it. It will have you at the edge of your seat, your heart racing, holding your breath, or maybe even tearing up, or even a combination of all the above!!! O_O
GREAT, GREAT, GREAT Movie!!!!
I highly recommend it for all! It's a movie for all ages! It has that nostalgic value, a new adventure, new friends, new enemies, same ol' loveable Toys! Same ol' wonderful Toy Story! :D
