Don't go see the Wolfman

It is bad.

Except one thing. Sometimes, I am strangely moved by little things in movies. I weep every time William H. Macy takes that bullet for Harrison Ford in Air Force One. I get upset every time I watch The Mummy - when Benny steps on the one American's glasses; you can see the... just... like, despair when he hears them break.

This is just like that one. The gypsy bear handler, plaid by Emil Hostina, tries to protect his ursine companion from the English peasant mob. "He only dances," he says. One line. Three words. A point of real, emotional truth, the fear of losing a beloved pet, fear for yourself at the hands of an unruly mob.

Let me tell you, if there was an Oscar category for "Best Actor in a Bit Part or Minor Role", my vote (admittedly worthless layperson's vote that it is) would go to Emil. Great job, man, my hat is off.

It was a CGI bear too, which makes it all the more impressive.
