I'm trying to put together a Toddler Story time with a Cat/Kitten theme. The stories were easy enough, but finding fun and decent rhymes is harder. Here are some of the strange and/or hilarious options I've come up with so far.
-My favorite, which will never work with toddlers, a parody of American Pie about The Cat in the Hat:
http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmclean58.shtml -A recording of Cat songs that features a cat "singing"...good god:
http://cdbaby.com/cd/tannaloucat -A musicalization of the Cat in the Hat by marilyn manson? oy
-Cat drinking songs:

-Some INCREDIBLY VIOLENT "kids" songs about cats including "the Post Man's Cat" which is about a postman who ran over his cat(

- and "the cat came back" which rivals Poe's "The Black Cat" in people's rage to get rid of this cat (

I'm thinking I'm just going to do a Cat Stevens sing along. "Hey Kids! Let's sing "Peace Train"!
