spiders in this place appear in new areas everyday. and never have i noticed a spider in the same place twice. they pick unusual, inconvenient spaces for their webs. yesterday one was attached to a deck railing next to the sidewalk, and the other end was attached to a branch on a tree that hovered ABOVE the sidewalk. it seemed unstable to me. i didn't see it today. today one had made a home at the top of the post my bike is locked too. neither inconvenient nor unstable.... but it made ME unstable, as if tomorrow it would be in the spokes of my wheels and my bike would be rendered unusable. yes, unusable. how can i kick a spider out of it's home? i'll just have to wait for the day after tomorrow when it has moved on. nomadic spiders.
today we got our first long term project. an art poster that covers a topic we are assigned to. i was assigned Bruce Rogers, a 20th century typographer and book designer.
