Seasonal post

It's the end of a season and the beginning of a new one. This summer was memorable: SMAP27, Leader's epic marathon, a lot of news and announcements from many J&A groups and idols. But let's talk about random stuff as usual.

Drama
I started watching 4 dramas this season, but I ended up dropping 3 of them halfway for no particular reason (apart from HERO), and spent the rest of the season marathoning old smap dramas (I blame the SMAP27 syndrome).
Looking at my drama list, I noticed that I only finished 4 dramas from this year (Platonic, Hero, and Shark 1&2) compared to much more in the previous years since I started following dramas in real time. And the fall season doesn't sound very promising neither. Well, maybe one of the scheduled Johnny's dramas will surprise me.
HERO ended this week. I have to admit that, when they first announced it, I was worried the new series wouldn't live up to the original one. But I was proven wrong :)  Could we have more seasons please?

SDK
SDK ending was a shocking news, despite all the rumours I heard before. I thought that show could go on forever :( All the Best Of episodes make me nostalgic, and I know I'll cry watching the last episode's live. I'll miss the DBB so much. Luckily, there's the anticipation for the new show "KinKi Kids no Bunbubun" that is helping me to keep a positive attitude. The title is so kinki-like. And I love the idea of kinki having a location show wandering around in a car.

And we're finally having the L DVD in October. Yay!

Ai Love SMAP
Until now, I didn't really watch a lot of 6nin SMAP variety. Mainly because there's already a lot of SMAP material to watch and I still have to catch up with all the 5nin stuff. But part of it was because somehow I didn't want to get too attached to 6nin SMAP. As a KAT-TUN fan, I didn't want to repeat that painful experience of unconsciously starting to count the members at every vid you play and having the feeling that there's something wrong with their number whether there are 6 or 5 of them.
But lately I'm starting to watch more 6nin variety and it's a whole new side of the group that I'm discovering, especially with Ai Love SMAP. I understand now why they always joke about how TV TOKYO was carefree and easy going : the cheap props and costumes/make-up, the WTF games and gags, the chaotic MC-ing from the announcers. And SMAP themselves were such kids, ignoring the script and whatever happening in the studio to mess around with each other or giggle in the back like school girls (2TOP I'm looking at you). I'm enjoying that show sooo much <3

TOKYO LIVE
I'm so happy the show is going regular. I wished for that when the April SP aired and my wish was fulfilled :) Can't wait to watch the guys solving strange problems again. And NANANA <3. The first episode I found that talking banana so annoying but I ended up gettin too used to it in those two weeks :D

See you!
