California Trip
Thurs June 19: Our flight out of Burlington left pretty early so we were up and out of the house by 3am. We took an hour and a half Jet Blue flight from Burlington to JFK in New York and then a second 5 hours and 40 minute flight to San Fran. It was a looong flight but the fact we were flying Jet Blue made all the difference compared to the trip we took to Florida this past winter. We landed in San Fran around 11:30am and my Aunt Susie was there waiting for us. We hung out in the city for awhile until my Cousin Kelly got out of classes from the Art Academy.
Fri June 20: We spent friday recooperating from our jetlag and just chilled around my Aunt's house in Cloverdale which was nice cause I was sooo dead!
Sat June 21: On Saturday Kelly, Christine and I went to Yorty Creek which is a part of Sonoma Lake because it was so HOT!
Sun June 22: Sunday was Susie's big BBQue which was really nice. My Cousins Kelly and Michelle, Michelle's husband Ian, Christine and I all played Scrabble which was a lot of fun. Haha "Ooze-Booze-Boozer-Boozers" LOL. Good times.
Mon June 23: On Monday my mom, Aunt Susie and their friend Mary all went shopping and gambling. Christine and I just hung out all day and basically read for hours on end which wasn't too bad. I'm reading Sweeney Todd and she's reading the entire Little House on the Prairie books again. In the evening everyone went to go see 'Sex in the City', Uncle Bruce and I just chilled and watched 'Hidalgo' which is now one of my favorite movies. (Viggo Mortensen *drools*)
Tues June 24: On Tuesday mom, Christine and I drove down to my Grandparents' house down in Sonoma to have lunch with my Great Aunt Ruth (I think) and her daughter Patty. I didn't really remember them but Grandpa seemed happy to see his sister and they talked about Germany and coming to America through Ellis Island which was pretty cool to listen to.

Wed June 25: Wednesday mom, my Cousin Michelle, Christine and I went to the Plaza and had lunch in the Park which was really nice. We walked around and looked in the shops and stuff and had a really good time.
Thurs June 26: We went shopping with Grandma because she wanted to buy Mary a birthday present because her birthday was on the 28th. We were considering going to a Winery and walking around the grounds but we never ended up going.
Fri June 27: Woot Woot! We went shopping in Vacaville which is a huge deal because there are no malls or outlets in Vermont. I got a bunch of new clothes which I'm so excited to wear once school starts! Yay!
Sat June 28: Saturday we were discussing going to the ocean but we were all too tired from shopping the previous day so Kelly and I spent most of the day baking vegan chocolate chip cookies, homemade gaucamole and a yummy fruit salad for our little picnic that we had out in the back yard.

Sunday June 29: Sunday was another chill day for me because Susie, mom and Christine went to Berkeley to find my other Cousin, Megan a new apartment. I hung out...read my book and watched 'Monty Python: Life of Brian' which was uber funny. My friend Grace, who lives in Santa Rosa called and asked me if I wanted to go to Pride with her (San Fran's Annual Gay Pride Festival) but I couldn't which was too bad.
Mon June 30: Monday was another hot day so while Christine and Aunt Susie crashed and took naps, mom and I went to the movies to see 'Wanted' the new Angelina Jolie movie which was SO KICKASS!!!
Tues July 1: Tuesday we drove back to my Grandparents and hung out.
Wed July 2: Super fun yesterday!!! Mom, Michelle, Christine, and I all went to Jack London State Park which was so cool. We hadn't been there in over 8 years so I didn't really remember it but it was still cool. We went to his house, hiked up to the lake he made, walked around his farm and winery AND picked blackberries!

Thurs July 3: Today we drove back to my Aunt's and aren't really doing much. I'm blogging. Christine's on the phone with Robert. Mom and Susie went to Eukia to go food shopping for the big BBQue tomorrow. I'll probably start packing and organizing my suitcase later. Tomorrow is "Happy 4th of July Day" haha and hopefully I'll remember to take lots of pics of the family. Then Saturday Susie drives us back to the SF Airport and we take a 12:20pm flight back to JFK. We should get home around 1:30am Sunday morning. Yay...don't you just love traveling?!
