So our first Alice.com shipment came in today :)
It was a little pricier than our normal brick-and-mortar options, but larger amounts, not having to drive 30 mins into town, and everything I needed was in one store not three makes it worth it.
And we only paid sales tax! There was not the dreaded bonus grocery tax \o/
The only items I bought were non-food ones, so instead of having to patronize CVS, Walmart, and Dollar General (yes, lots of things around here are only at one store and not the others... syndicate much?) and then being forced to buy from their small food options (especially Walmart - they've been seriously cutting back on food choices. There isn't any butter at all at any of the three local ones, for instance) I can now more easily go for food at our local grocer.
When we move into the new house, of course *sighs*
Sidenote: But looking at how much it is to buy stuff online? Just makes me curse our local politicans of both parties. Even "expensive" clean, 'checks all the tickey boxes in goodness' meat is the same damn price as Walmart. Mississippians pay on average 400 USD (that's not a typo, I mean it! $400) more a year than any other state. >:( And believe me, it shows.
