I just read the screenplay for 500 Days of Summer, it was a draft so I don't know how similar the movie is going to be, but from the trailers of it, it seems pretty damn exact. Which is good, it's a really good script. Joseph Gordan Levitt and Zooey Deschanel are going to be fantastic in it I know. But they're both fantastic anyway.
I downloaded this excellent torrent of screenplays from a whole lot of upcoming films. Sherlock Holmes for instance, though I think I want to wait to see it, even if I'm waiting until the very end of the year. Also The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Inglorious Basterds, The Green Lantern, Thor, Where the Wild Things Are, Jennifer's Body. Plus four failed Superman scripts including the Kevin Smith one and one by JJ Abrams. Well I assume they're failed scripts.
Script writing seems so much easier than writing an actual book too, you don't have to bother with elaborate adverbs you just describe it technically, plus I was always so much better at writing dialogue than prose. Plus there's not enough original screenplays anymore, everything's a remake or an adaptation. Pity it's been two years since I've had a great idea.
Ooo I was downloading the soundtrack for 500 Days and it just finished. Oddly enough I didn't have a single song on it, despite being a fan of many of the artists featured. Well I'm going to go have a listen.
