N. is watching Thomas the Tank Engine. Thomas is helping Sir Toppam Hatt build a new roof for one of the other engines, and they're getting started straight away by collecting workmen and material. I said 'No, first you draw up plans and spec out materials, and then you collect proposals and decide on a contractor...'

N. looked at me like I'd lost my mind.
