Lovely evening out

Last night, my mom came over to watch the boy watch a movie, and A. and I went out to have dinner. We decided we were going to go someplace we hadn't ever been before, so we wandered up and down Franklin St. looking at menus. We decided on a quirky and delicious Italian hole-in-the-wall run by a genuine Italian chef. It's next door to the 'Massage Parlor', and it's been painted on the inside to look like an Italian street. The chairs are horrid, each table gets internally matching plates, but your plates won't match your neighbour's plates, and the wait-staff are as eccentric as the dishes.
After that, we went to share an upscale cupcake at Bliss, up the street, where we heard that the CourtYard has been bought by someone else and the nasty owner who drove out 3 Cups has been deposed. There is some neat landscaping and brickwork in the middle there for all of the empty shops to look upon. Bliss is also delightfully quirky, in a clean, modern way.
Then we came home and I'm ending this narrative now, because... well, because.
And anyway, it's lunchtime!
