I will not vote for Joe Biden

Biden is the very person who was IN CHARGE OF the Anita Hill hearings. His treatment of Anita Hill caused me to be VERY AFRAID of going forward with my complaint against the professor at Peninsula College.

Because of that fear I hesitated to report him. And because I hesitated, more women were harmed by that predator.

I WILL NOT VOTE FOR JOE BIDEN

Biden is NOT a “nice guy”

Sniffing hair? NOT a “nice guy” move.
He has made MANY women uncomfortable.

Y’know who does that? People who don’t respect boundaries.

Y’know who doesn’t respect boundaries?
Sexual predators.

Just because very few women have come forward doesn’t mean he isn’t a sexual predator. He has a LOT of power, and women are scared to come forward even when the perpetrator *doesn’t* have a lot of power.

Personal story: I remember very well how Biden treated Anita Hill. It was bad. And that whole hearing - Which Biden was in control of, and refused to let Professor Hill’s corroborating witnesses testify - was a horrible, horrible experience for a young woman to watch.
The message was clear. Women who come forward with complaints of harassment or assault will not be likely to be believed.

Fast forward to 12ish years ago. I was trying to get an education at Peninsula College.
My chem professor crossed a little line a few times, but I had thought I had shot him down and he had gotten the message.

EVERYONE said of him exactly what you’re saying about Biden.
He’s a nice guy.
He’s just friendly.

You know what he was? A sexual predator who was grooming his victims.

But I didn’t know that. I thought he was just flirting, and that I’d handled it.
Mind you... professors shouldn’t be flirting with students in the first place... but that’s not part of this story.

I decided to take another chem class. It was more rigorous and was needed for the transfer I wanted.
He also hired me as his lab assistant (I later learned he unjustly fired the boy who held the position just so he could put me in that spot)
Once I was in that class, and doing that job, he really ramped things up.

I won’t go into details beyond the fact that yes. After much harassment that started small and got worse, he assaulted me on a day when snow had closed the campus and no one was around.
He’d kept me late to set up a lab that as it turned out wasn’t anywhere near as much work as he had said it would be.
Long story a little shorter. I reported him.

But I waited until the last minute because I remembered what Joe Biden had done to Anita Hill.

I. Was. Scared.
Because of Joe Biden.

Peninsula College screwed up the entire process in shocking ways.

I learned that professor had a habit of targeting vulnerable students. The girl from China who could barely speak English haunts me still, because she could barely get out how afraid of him she was. She was never going to report him.
The girl in my art class didn’t want to report, but was willing to be a corroborating witness. She was never contacted by the school.
Etc. etc. etc.

Peninsula College never vetted that professor.
Turns out the “He’s just a friendly guy” had a long history of raping and assaulting students and co-workers. But because of the screwed up way colleges and universities handle such things, they always just passed him on to be someone else’s problem.

That professor was not a “nice guy”

People who constantly cross personal boundaries are not “nice guys”

Please. We’re done here. Don’t push it. This is my boundary.

I will NOT vote for Biden.
And there are thousands and thousands of women like me.
