Guilty as charged
I know, I know. It's been an age or two since I posted, and tonight's a quiet night to do so.
Mind, there's absolutely nothing noteworthy going on in my life. I get up, go to work, get home, put on different shoes, go to work, come home, do the dinner thing, get ready for the next day and go to bed. And that's a normal work week. Boring? I suppose it is, if I had the time to think about it.
My friend Gary passed over about a week ago now. His wife, Kathleen, is glad he's not suffering any more, and I agree wholeheartedly. Last I heard, indirectly, Donovan's sperm donor was in ICU, but doing ok. Why he was in ICU I have no idea.
Aine's at Estrella, and I hope she's safe. I really don't like the weather reports I'm hearing, and I'd hate for anything to happen to her pavillion, let alone her, so I'll be glad when I know she's home ok.
Gods, it's been cold. THere's snow about a half hour away from us, and my poor apricot tree's trying hard not to bloom, but there are a few open buds on it. Hopefully, it'll warm up a bit so I can have apricots and peaches again this year.
Gonna try dying a cotehardie tomorrow. I've got the dye, just have to figure out if I'm doing it in the machine or the bathtub. Machine would be easier, except it's a front loader. And I have to get some bleach to run a clothes-less wash after to get all the dye out. The material's a light lavender linen, so I bought both purple and dark blue dyes. I figure if I mix them, I might get a decent purple out of it. It also needs to be taken in, as does the cote I made for 12th Night. Yay for AbDivas!
And on that ever so exciting note I'm going to bed...*yawn*
