Los Angeles

Wow, looooong time no update. My bad, guys.
First off, Happy New Year 2007 everyone!
I'm giving up chocolate for one year...we'll see how I do.

Hopefully, I'll update this more this year...i haven't posted band pics in YEARS!

So, I'm in LA right now with Brian, chillin' with his cousins. We got here on Friday at like noon Pacific time. We are here until Sunday, the 14th. Then, I fly back to LA on January 17th-21st for the NAMM convention (Music Products Industry conference...like 70,000 people there right accross the street from DisneyLand....OH YEAH!)

Yesterday, right after we got off the plane, we went to two tapings of Jeopardy. SO FUN!
Since Brian's Aunt know's Alex Trebec's hairdresser, we got to be part of the Production Guest people. She introduced us to Alex, and he had a little conversation with me during a commercial break. He was like "Margaret, how do you spell your name? M-A-R-G-U-R-E-T or M-A-R-G-A-R-E-T? I ask this because usually, you want to know how people spell names when you're signing an autograph." To this I replied "A-R-E-T", and I was thinking that he was going to give us autographs!...but he didn't. He then asked where we were from, and I said Des Plaines, a suburb of Chicago by O'Hare. He then said in a Chicago accent, "ooooo, ChicAAAAHgo" and then started to make fun of our accents and made us say the capital of Egypt....CAAAAAAAAAAAAAiro...hahaha.

I still think that he's an ass, lol. Like right after the first rehearsal, he came up to the producers and started yelling at them, saying that they were talking. I was like "jeeez!"
And then, when it was "ask Alex a question" time during the commercial break, Brian asked him what he did during Christmas break and New year's, and Trebec sarcastically replied with a "I was laying in my bed with the flu, and a bad back"....and then it was complete silence for 2 minutes as he starred blankly at the audience. sooooooooooooo awkward!

One of the questions that Alex was reading off was about the Simpsons, and it said "Mrs. Krabapple"...and he literally pronounced it "crab apple"...so they had to re-record that part. He said that he's NEVER watched the show, even when he did a voice-over for it! I couldn't believe that!
but prease, don't breave me!

Then, during the two teen tournaments that we watched, it was cool. The kid that won $75,000, his family was sitting right in front of us, so Brian and I are definitely going to be in a shot on TV for that part...woo! I congratulated the parents, and hopefully that's on TV, too ;)
The show will air February 15 and 16, so mark your calendars to watch jeopardy then!!! woo!!

Today, we drove to Long Beach to meet up with Brian's other aunt. We ate at an Outback steakhouse (my first time) and I had 18 dollars worth of ribs...SO YUMMY! Makes me wish I was rich...but not, cuz I still haven't had a home-cooked meal here yet, and that's kinda weird I think. We also went the the Pacific Aquarium today, and I petted some sting rays and star fish...it was cool, cuz the sting rays are super slimy...and i like slimy things. After that, we went back home, and Brian and I had to babysit his little cousins, which I don't mind. We watchd "who killed the electric car?" and then walked over to the Hard Ways pizza place, and rented a crappy movie from blockbuster...I told them it would be crappy, since blockbuster only had one copy of this new release. It was Dave Chappelle's House party....its really not funny at all; just a stupid documentary. Brian and the cousins agree, and I highly don't recommend it.

Tomorrow, we're going to Venice Beach...I hope its going to be warmer, since its been really windy and chilly here. Speaking of windy, the turbulance on the plance was NUTS...like I was super scared. Like, the drink in my hand went high up while i was holding it cuz i didn't want to spill it...scary!
But yeah, Venice Beach tomorrow, and then going to Price is Right Monday night and Tuesday night, for the Tuesday and Wednesday tapings...its gonna be FREEZING at night! Still, totally worth it.
Hopefully on thursday, I'll have my meeting with Debra (executive producer) and Rolf (director) from Dead Girls Club (movie I tried the scream queen contest for last year).

I think this is about what's happened today...I'll post pics when I get back from both LA trips in a few weeks...
later loves.
