Yesterday I went with Vicky to Kobe to view the festival of lights - Luminaria. It was beautiful, and I took pictures with my phone, although it now occurs to me that I should've brought my real camera, but oh well. We walked down the path of the lights (the display changes every year to a different pattern theme). We ate festival food (read: fair food. Oh so yummy and slightly overpriced), we were accosted by these creepy but nice Moroccans who wanted us to go drinking with them after the festival and gave Vicky their number, but thankfully we were frozen so we made an escape. My toes should be blue still, I think.
Anywho, enjoy the pictures, and a happy Emperor's Day to all of us here in Japan. Apparently I'm building a fanbase here. >_> I know who (some) of you are! =P

The Luminaria entrance.

Then we walk down the long hallway...

And reach a circled lighted up area. Lights are beautiful. The music was kinda creepy.

I don't care that the photo was blurry. Vicky and I at Luminaria! And with frozen toes!

Candied strawberries. I also had a hot dog and kebab. Vicky also had a kebab and sweet potatoes. You gotta love festival food. Ironically there were 1242308953 takoyaki stands. (fried octobus rolle into lil balls)
Preparations for the Christmas feast have begun. And it's all going ot be done on stovetops, microwaves, and those conventional oven thingies! Magic shall be pulled forth! ^.^
