Alright, most of you know... but for those who don't...
huge ice storm hit. Some of the damage to trees was like that done by a hurricane. It's insane. A lot of power was knocked out (thank the gods our power was only out for like 5 hours... my friend's power was out for 6 days, and some people still don't have power back). Our cable line in the backyard did get knocked out though, and since we have cable internet... I'm without the net. And I don't know how long that's going to be for. Could be another week... could be a month. They won't even give an estimation because of how much other shit is already going on around here. But we're on the cable companies list of people who need to be connected again. It might be a long list. Who knows.
Anyway, I'm typing this while I'm on break at work. Break is over in exactly two minutes, so I need to get going and prepare to head out. Oh, the joys of life.
Another snow storm is on the way (snow snow snow!) Yes, I'm excited about the idea of snow as oppossed to ice. This has been our second ice storm this winter, and that's just nuts because Missouri doesn't get ice storms. We get a light coating of ice and then we get snow or nothing at all. Last few years it's been nothing at all. But this year... buckets of tree-destroying ice. I'll have to post some pictures later. Like when I get my internet back.
