Do I look like an undergrad?

I'm a good 15 years older than most undergrads, so I am surprised that I apparently still give people the impression that I'm fairly young. Last spring, I wrote about a medical tech who was asking me about school. After a bit, he asked if I'd considered going to grad school, not realizing that I already had a masters and was enrolled in a PhD program (and at least a good ten years older than most of my cohort).

I went to the book store earlier in the week to find a book for my math class. A person who works there asked me what I was looking for. I apparently looked lost. (Note: he didn't ask if I needed help. If he had asked that, I probably would have said I was okay on my own. I figured he could find it faster than me, though.) I told him I needed a math book.

"What section?" he asked.

I told him the class number for an 8000-level course.

After he picked his jaw off the ground, he made some comment about me being in the "big leagues". I'm guessing he thought I needed an algebra book.
