In case you didn't get the memo, please limit the number of graphs or plots you show in a technical presentation. Ideally, one should boil this down to the least number of graphs necessary to give a good representation of the data

I was reading your second part, thinking "I'm like that too! I'm such a dork when talking to strangers!" when I remembered I *did* see a class offered once on small talk! I think it was offered by the local community college, or maybe the local technical high school? some sort of institution that doesn't concern itself with Higher Intellectual Pursuits (tm), but rather tries to be practical, and also offers classes to the community. So maybe one of those institutions around you might also offer one? (I'm not sure it's coming across right: I'm trying to be sarcastic about 4-and-more-year institutions, not snobbish about CCs or tech.HSs.) --Ceresina
I'm no good at small talk, either. Does this mean when we finally meet again, we'll stare at each other glassy-eyed while my wife and our mutual friend carry on most of the conversation? Yikes. :-)
