Finally...

All done. No more schoolwork, no more grading. Bye, bye.

I still have two papers to complete before the 31st. I also need to talk to my advisor about this potential paper for another conference. That one is due the 15th of January. It's going to take a bit more work, and I want to see what he has in mind (whether or not it would be worthwhile to push for the conference or not rush it and maybe submit it to a journal). He did seem to think the idea had merit.

There's one measurement I want to be able to take, though, and I don't know if I can do it without potentially frying the equipment (the $40,000 piece of equipment). I'm trying to decide if I could stick a couple attenuators in between my equipment and the device I want to measure. But it may not be enough. ESD is sort of scary that way.

Oh yeah...and that thesis thing. Although, the two papers due on the 31st will be most of my thesis. My goal is to defend before the end of February so that I can have my MS completely done by May. If Mike is done then, too, I may participate in commencement. If he isn't, then I may not.

And so I suppose if I'm going to get anything done, I better get off LJ and do something productive. I'm hoping I'll get to my Christmas letters in the next day or two. If not, maybe next week.

school, paper
