Hello all! I haven’t been around much. What have I been doing, you might ask?
Basically Inception has eaten my brain, along with ¾ of the internet, and I am now its slavish devotee. (Don't worry -- some of my enthusiasm is saved for Merlin S3.) I have yet to produce any art for it, but hopefully soon! Meanwhile, I have been misusing matchsticks_p’s valuable time to discuss it ad nauseam.
matchsticks_p and I met via bandom, and I am a sucker for stuntcasting stuff, so it was inevitable that I would force her into speculation on a bandom recast of Inception. You can find that here, if you are one of the 3 people on the planet whom that would interest.
Speaking of matchsticks_p, we keep e-mailing pictures of the delightfully trashy Tom Hardy to each other. Recently I sent her a picture of Tom with some dogs, saying I was sorely tempted to include every picture of Tom Hardy with a dog, ever. And because matchsticks_p is a freak about dogs, she told me that would be a NOBLE DEED INDEED.
So I made the world’s most specific tumblr for her. Talk about niche appeal.
In summary: Blame matchsticks_p.
Other than that, I've been working, preparing to go back to school, and finishing my Big Bang art. The latter took an atrociously long time, mostly because I was trying to learn perspective construction simultaneously. In case anyone is interested, here is the incredibly long yet incredibly helpful tutorial I've been slogging through. Pretty good, if you are masochistic enough to make it through.
