BSG Love
So I've been busily reading the Remix fics and am duly impressed. I've only read the BSG fics so far and I was going to do a rec list, but I'd rec the majority of them so it seemed sort of redundant. So here is the link to the BSG masterlist. Among those, I think my favorite combo of original fic and remix is Faith (The Brittle Reflections Remix).
I am falling in love with another fandom, when I thought I was going to be faithful to Buffy until I lost interest in fandom activity all-together. Buffy is still my primary, but I adore BSG and the fandom is fantastic (if spoilerific). More than that, the fic is amazing. Most of it is genfic (or that may just be my bias) and the shipper fic isn't the overly-romanticized, who-the-fuck-is-that characterization that we bitch and moan about so much in the Jossverse waters. I'm not a die-hard shipper for BSG, although I do appreciate Kara/Lee, but I'm such a big fan of the shipper fic I've read so far because it's true to the characters. The Kara gen-fic is amazing, and the Kara/Lee is stark and unrequited just like it should be. My next task is to delve into the Roslin fic, which I can imagine is wonderful as well.
