Clare thought about lying, but she wasn’t a liar. That was true, and funny, considering the lie she’d been living for the past two years.

I think this sums up how cruel this life is for Cordelia. Not being able to be herself has to be the worst punishment on Earth.

I like how at first both she and Lindsey have the same reaction - that they're somehow there to harm the other one. But in the end, they gravitate toward one another because they are they ones who understand.

I know it's not a 'pairing' people usually jump to, but I really love how you wrote them here. Are Clare and Jack characters of your own creation? Well, they fit perfectly. Very sly take on the 'ambiguity' prompt, too!

Clare and Jack are Cordelia and Lindsey- they've taken on new identities after their supposed "deaths" in L.A. I guess maybe I was *too* ambiguous. :)

Once again, this was simply wonderful. Have you written any more Cordy/Lindsey? Was the pairing prompt a surprise to you, or had you thought of it before?

I'm so glad you liked it. I haven't ever written Cordy/Lindsey though I think I've read it once before. I was glad to get the prompt, definitely. It was a lot of fun to write.
