Facebook and misc.
So Facebook? A part of me loves it, and the other part hates it.
There are some people I would prefer to leave in my past, and not think of them again. Then they find you on facebook, and you had forgotten about them, so you didn't block them, and then youare forced to become their friend. Because who is actually going to reject a friendship request? The dislike of a person is too obvious that way. I prefer it to be subtle.
And there are other people that you think about over time, and wish you could be in contact with, and then when you find them, you are disapointed. They aren't who they were. They changed. And they never wanted to get in contact with you like you did with them. Isn't it better to not know and think about 'what if you could just talk to them once more...' than to talk to them and know that that's it? They're fine with a 'Hey, how are you? Good? That's nice. Maybe talk to you in another decade or so..'
There are some great things about facebook though! Like finding that guy who you once road on a bus with, and had a nice 3 hour conversation and never thought you'd talk to again? Finding people like that? Makes it all worth it.
Finding out that some distant family member it thrilled to find you on facebook and to talk to you, is wonderful. I love it. And that's why I use it.
I'm just rambling. It's 1 am, and I doubt anyone really reads my nonsense anyway...
