Day 08 - A scene that made you smile
I wasn't going to do this today because it's been crazy but, you know, insomnia, so here I am, to brighten up your days with more Ashes to Ashes goodness. ;) As with the "scene that makes you cry," there are obviously loads and loads of scenes that make me smile on the show. I thought of the Chris/Shaz marriage proposal but that doesn't make me smile so much as it makes me grin like a loon. This one fit the bill perfectly. (Or what I felt the bill was. :P)
Alex: God, I wish you'd tell me what's going on.
Gene: If I told you all of my little secrets, I wouldn't have that devastatingly attractive air of mystery, would I?
Alex: No. I forgot about that.
I'm sure you know the scene. If not, the transcript doesn't do it justice, really. Philip's delivery is perfect, perfect, perfect! (I really, really love that thing he does of sounding so bloody annoyed! ;)) and Alex's reaction is the sweetest thing in the whole wide world. Seriously. If you ever need to define sweetness to anybody, just refer them to this scene. (And now I can go to bed all happy. Yayay! ;))
P.S.- It was very hard to make them look a little less green! Series 1 colouring is the best in the world.
