Victorian Clothes
After too much sewing and cursing (Tailoring is NOT the same as Dressmaking), Marian and I both have clothes for the Kentwell Hall Dickensian Christmas.
Marian has: Chemise, Bloomers, Corset, Dress, Cap, Bonnet, Paletot (coat), and various accoutrements such as aprons.
I have: Shirts and collars (bought), trousers, suspenders (with no elastic), waistcoat, and coat. The top hat was bought.
I wore mine today at a local Victorian themed market for a test-run - I need to make some small supporting tacks in the coat collar and the trouser fly but it all seems OK apart from that.
