My Satnav got lost.

I don't mean that it got ME lost. I mean the device itself. It set out from the manufacturers on the 22nd of January and took a wrong turn at Burgess Hill or thereabouts.
That this happened is just one of those things. That it took me six emails and four phone calls, over the last week, to get the promise of a replacement, rather than just continuing to wait "because you never know; it might still turn up" I find more than a little annoying when promised "next-day" delivery.
It wouldn't be so bad, but the first satnav I ordered, from an online electrical shop, arrived with a fault, took a week to return and get the admission of the technical department that there was indeed a fault (How difficult can it be to find a fault, when the fault is that the device won't switch on?); then a replacement was sent out with the SAME FAULT.
I thought that cancelling the order, and ordering direct from the manufacturer would solve all problems!
This renowned technophobe, who had decided to buy a piece of technology, is wondering whether he should have just bought a new road atlas instead.
If and when the ***** thing arrives we'll see how long it takes for me to either learn to use it or fling it off the top of a tall building.
