Dylan's Graduation Week/Weekend and Greyson's Homecoming Party.

My brother graduated from high school this past week. It feels so weird to have him be so grown up. It's bittersweet. As soon as I saw him coming down the walkway, heading toward the stage, I burst into tears. Greyson kept whispering, "Smile! Smile, Mareah!" But it was really hard. He's finished with high school, free to roam about the world. And for that, I am so happy; also sad. He has no idea how proud I am of him. Honestly. My baby brother. Graduated. I feel old.

Almost ready to leave to go to the ceremony!

Yesterday we had a big grad party for Dylan.  A lot of our giant family came, and it was a lot of fun.  Greyson came over, too, which was great.

It was a great party.  After it was over, Greyson and I hung around the house for a while and just enjoyed each other's company.  My brother was playing music at an ice cream place called Pink Spot (innuendo much?) and Greyson and I met up with some friends downtown where it was located.  Dylan did awesome -- his voice is incredible.  After the show was over, Grey and I drove out into the middle of nowhere and laid in the bed of his truck, looking at the sky for a while.  He laughed at my paranoia of wildcats and bobcats, and I was glued to the flashlight in the dark.  He is everything I could ever ask for.  We left our spot and went to my house where we fell asleep in my bedroom.

Greyson's homecoming party was on Friday.  It was a lot of fun, and I really appreciate the fact that Logan and Clayton held it at their apartment.  It's not exactly the biggest space, but it was perfect once we all got outside and went by the pool.  I didn't get to talk to Kristie as much as I would have liked, but hopefully next time we all see each other, we'll be able to catch up.  I really missed her.  Kailey was there, which was great -- she's so sweet -- and she, Tara, and I had a ton of fun making the boys watch "Father of the Bride 2" in lieu of whatever soft-core porn was on in the middle of the night.  Lovely night!
