The New Orleans Saints are the official champions of Super Bowl XXXXIV (44).
Guys... My Saints... congratulations... you finally did it and it couldn't have come at a better time. I'm so proud of you all. You lifted this city up out of the chaos and though New Orleans still has a long way to go, we can now be better at persevering.
We will try our damnedest to go forward through each day with a smile on our face and a pep in our step. We won't give up because you all didn't give up. All your hard work paid off in the ultimate win and you all dedicated that win to us, an entire city that was drowning in its own tears because of Katrina.
We will do our best to make you guys proud, because you did your best to make us proud of you. Thank you for the most excellent season. We couldn't have asked for a better team, because there is no better.
I love you all; you all who mean SO much to New Orleans and its people that others will just NEVER understand. You gave us hope that if you could make it through game after game victoriously, we could make it through day after day in the same way. We believed in you when we couldn't even believe in ourselves. When we fell, the thought of you all picked us back up.
We put our faith and our trust in you and you didn't let us down. You went all the way. We got our Black and Gold Superbowl. Time to come home now and get the hero's welcome of the century in the Crescent City.
