KANGIN.... NOT ONLY DO YOU DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND HIT SOMEBODY... BUT YOU EFFING RUN TOO?!?! THAT'S NOT HOW WE DO THINGS!! YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT!! DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDX
People got pissed at him for lying about not being in the fight more than actually fighting and when it showed that he fought in self-defense, you can't really get mad at him for that.
However, the hit-and-run is unacceptable no matter which way you look at it, and while under the influence of alcohol? Oh heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell no.
But the reason why they aren't wanting to kick him out is because Kangin didn't say or do something that ALL of Korea disagrees with. It's something they frown upon but you really can't compare what Jaebeom said to what Kangin did.
Don't think I'm siding with one over the other, cuz I'm not. I don't agree with what Kangin did but as for Jaebeom, I'm willing to be more sympathetic. Korea's very Very VERY nationalistic and ready to rip a new one into anyone who disses them or in any way, even if it's another Korean. Jae's Korean-American and he's gonna have an American way of doing and saying things. Of course some Koreans, who doesn't function in the same way, are gonna react badly. Jae might as well have burned the Korean flag in some of these people's eyes, the way they were acting. You see how they handle men who dodge in order to avoid having to serve military time? Those men are considered disgraces and if they're famous, EVERYONE knows they dodged and then blacklists them. I think some of them even get exiled. They take some things WAAAAAAY more seriously than others.
nah i get what you were saying. i was being irrational. i dunno. i mean i understand people make mistakes and stuff, but when you make a promise to try and fix something, it's not something you break that easily. i'm just kinda angry that he wasn't more careful with watching his actions after the fight, even if it wasn't his fault.

This. He never should've stepped into that car with the intention of driving after he'd been drinking the way he had been.
